Li-Ning JB2 Miami Night Vice

0

Voted as one of the top basketball performance shoes for its amazing traction and cushioning, Jimmy Butler’s Li-Ning JB 2 returns in the vibrant ‘Miami Vice Nights’ colorway! Inspired by the stunning sunsets on Miami Beach, this shoe brings its own vibrance to the courts.

The colorway features a striking contrast: the right shoe has a dominant pink upper, while the left shoe is green. The lightweight upper is crafted with durable and breathable BOOM Fiber Tech. Full-length responsive BOOM foam ensures exceptional cushioning, while a bottom-loaded carbon fiber shank plate provides stability and a responsive launch.

The standout feature is the foam-based triangular-shaped traction, offering top-tier grip on all types of courts. The large surface area and minimal traction grooves minimize dust and dirt accumulation, and despite being foam-based, the durability is impressive. These kicks certainly deserve their spot among the top performance basketball shoes for traction and cushioning.

Aesthetically, the mismatched colors are sure to turn heads on the court. The gradient transition from the upper to the opposite color at the bottom adds a cool, unique touch. These will also look great for lifestyle fits.

They run true to size (TTS) and retail for $260 AUD, available now at Hoops Heaven, Intersports, and Throwback Store.

mita sneakers x KEBOZ x ASICS GEL-LYTE™ III OG ‘Taito’

0

ASICS is set to debut the GEL-LYTE™ III OG ‘Taito’ collaboration, a triple partnership with renowned Ueno store mita sneakers and apparel brand KEBOZ, capturing global interest from sneaker enthusiasts.

ASICS dropped the OG GEL-LYTE III back in ’90, and it was a game-changer with its split tongue design, giving it that perfect fit. Now, they’re teaming up with mita sneakers and KEBOZ for a fresh take called GEL-LYTE™ III OG ‘Taito’ collab.

They’ve tweaked things for comfort, swapping out the split tongue for a zipper, adding a quick lace system with adjustable stoppers, and throwing in some reflective piping for extra visibility.

Now, onto the design vibes – it’s all about Taito Ward, where both mita sneakers and KEBOZ call home. Inspired by the cherry blossoms, Sumida River, and Sensoji Temple at Ueno Zoo, they’ve mixed up materials to give it that authentic Taito feel.

The “KEBOZ” logo on the heel and the cool graphics on the insole, giving these kicks that extra touch of personality. It’s like a little piece of Taito Ward wrapped up in a pair of sneakers!

XLARGE x SBTG Collection

0

LA streetwear brand XLARGE and Singapore-based creative Mark Ong aka. Mr Sabotage have teamed up for an exclusive collaboration. Incorporating single-stitched hems and chain-stitched shoulders on top of an enzyme-washed heavyweight material that characterizes much of SBTG’s offerings, the XLARGE x SBTG collection offers durability while echoing the vintage tees of the era.

Particularly, the Global Limited Edition Mash Up tees are reminiscent of punk’s mosaic leanings, and like the letters and images clipped from magazines, two brands’ iconic motifs strategically come together to become one.

In an exclusive interview with the creative brain behind the XLARGE x SBTG collaboration, Mark Ong (Mr Sabotage) shares that XLARGE has been a source of inspiration for him when he worked at an XLARGE purveyor in Singapore back in 2000: “Things always have a way of coming full circle. It has happened so many times. I was pleasantly surprised but I wasn’t so taken aback. I knew it, I knew the day would come, even if it took 24 years.”

The XLARGE x SBTG collection are now available exclusively on the SNKRDUNK App and at the SNKRDUNK Singapore Flagship Store.

Adidas AE 1 Georgia Red Clay

With all the hype surrounding Anthony Edwards and his basketball kicks, I had to get a pair. It wasn’t easy, as they sell out almost immediately due to Ant-man’s amazing highlights and incredible playoff run.

Today, we’re reviewing the Adidas AE1 in the Georgia Red Clay colorway, that pays homage to the unique red soil of his birthplace in Georgia, USA.

Let’s start with the standout feature: the honeycombed TPU uppers. Taking design cues from heritage Adidas kobes and Yeezy designs, These not only provide excellent foot containment but are also highly breathable. The rest of the upper is crafted from ballistic mesh, with synthetic suede on part of the toebox.

The unique rope lacing system and a carbon fiber-like TPU cupsole on the heel ensure great lockdown. The full-length Jet Boost Foam tech offers amazing cushioning, while double TPU shank plates, which sandwich the Jet Boost, handle stability and energy return. The bottom plate is X-shaped for added support.

Traction is delivered by a translucent rubber outsole with a herringbone pattern, enhancing grip and flexibility.

Priced at $180 AUD, the Adidas AE1 is packed with top-notch performance tech! Right out of the box, these shoes are playable with impressive step-in comfort.

The hype is definitely justified. They run true to size, but if you have wide feet, consider going half a size up.
