ASICS SportStyle makes a bold statement at Milan Design Week with the debut of the ASICS Kinetic Playscape. This immersive installation introduces the new GEL-KINETIC™ 2.0 through a dynamic, multi-sensory journey that explores movement, design, and the connection between body and mind.

Held at Garage 21 from 22 to 24 April, the experience places visitors inside a fictional ASICS research institute, conceived by Los Angeles–based design studio NUOVA. As guests move through five distinct environments, they engage in a sequence of tactile and spatial interactions. Each space highlights motion in a new way, transitioning from grounded physicality to a more elevated and expressive state.

At the core of the Playscape sits the GEL-KINETIC™ 2.0, the latest evolution of ASICS GEL technology. Inspired by early 2000s running silhouettes, the sneaker is reimagined through a modern lens. It features advanced Scutoid GEL cushioning and a structured TPU support system, delivering all-day comfort for everyday movement and lifestyle wear.

Moreover, the installation blends Italian radical design with Japanese minimalism. It brings ASICS’ founding philosophy, Anima Sana in Corpore Sano (a sound mind in a sound body), to life through interactive design and playful exploration.
