So it feels like a lifetime ago that Venom was released at the movies. We can thank the lovely COVID-19 for the epic delay in getting this movie release. Venom 2 was originally scheduled for release in June 2021 due to the pandemic, however, it has now been pushed back again with the official release date being September 24th 2021.

Venom 2 Be Carnage, Venom: Let There Be Carnage Official Trailer

Tom Hardy is back as Eddie Brock and is joined by Woody Harrelson as Carnage, Michelle Williams as Anne Weying, Naomie Harris as Shriek & Reid Scott as Dan Lewis. The sequel is directed by the famous actor/producer/ Andy Serkis (Black Panther, Lord of the Rings) who made his directional debut back in 2017 with Breathe.

Andy Serkis has remained very tight lipped on the actual movie plot. Back in 2019 when he started the project Serkis told IGN “I can’t tell you any ideas right now. I’m in the beginning stages, but I have some very clear ideas about what I want to see visually, and how we can take the characters to another dimension.”

While there has been speculation that Venom: Let There Be Carnage could be a Spider-Man crossover (Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige went on record to say that prospect “seems likely at some point”), producer Matt Tolmach suggested that Venom/Eddie would remain the focus of the next film.

Either way, the trailer looks epic for this anti-hero movie. Let us know what you think
