After a long 13 year wait, we finally have a trailer for the sequel to the 2009 blockbuster. While we were teased with some concept art back in January, we finally have some footage to the James Cameron blockbuster
For those who have had the privilege of seeing Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness at the cinema over the past couple of weeks, would have seen this trailer before the movie as they did it as an exclusive with the movie. And now, its is available for everyone to view online.
Set more than a decade after the events of the first film, Avatar: The Way of Water begins to tell the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri, and their kids), the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure. Directed by James Cameron and produced by Cameron and Jon Landau, the film stars Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, Jemaine Clement, and Kate Winslet.
Avatar was one of those movies that was ahead of its time when it came to special effects. This was James Cameron’s masterpiece that went on to become the highest grossing movie of all-time. Although, Avatar was briefly topped by Avengers: Endgame, which then took the number 1 spot back in late 2020 when Disney did a re-release of Avatar in cinemas. It should hold onto the number 1 spot for sometime as we are expecting another cinema release of the 2009 movie in September 2022 before The Way of Water release later this year.
Let us know what you think fans. Are you excited to see this one? Or has it been too long between movies to live up to the hype?
Avatar: The Way Of Water is set for release on December 15th 2022 in Australia with December 16th for international.
