Australian boutique Up There have teamed up once again with New Balance to present their latest limited-edition sneaker: the ML860UP2. This release breaks away from the usual 2000s trends, opting instead for a fresh take on colour tones that come together to create a unique palette from familiar hues. The 860v2, once a flagship on-road trainer for New Balance, is now getting a stylish makeover for the fashion scene.
What’s really cool about the Up There x New Balance ML860UP2 sneaker is how it plays with materials. Instead of the typical metallic panels, you’ll find synthetic nubuck and reflective prints, giving it a modern feel. The double-layer mesh is complemented by neoprene and technical fabrics, adding an edgy twist to the overall design. And if you’re familiar with Up There, you’ll recognize the ‘Sure Lace,’ which is back in three eye-catching colours. Plus, the lace shroud returns too, featuring a waterproof zip that adds a retro-futuristic vibe to the sneaker.
But that’s not all! Each pair comes with a custom tote made from rip-stop nylon, which cleverly packs into itself for easy carrying—perfect for those on the go.
The Up There x New Balance ML860UP2 will be released through a raffle, so be sure to get your entries in NOW via Up There. Winners will be drawn on Wednesday, October 30. And if you miss out on the raffle, don’t worry—limited pairs will also be available globally through New Balance starting Friday, November 1.
