NBA 2K is officially back, and it’s bringing one of its strongest cover athlete lineups yet. NBA 2K27 will feature Victor Wembanyama on the Standard Edition, Caitlin Clark on the Deluxe Edition, and Derrick Rose on the limited-time Ultra Edition, celebrating three players who have each changed the game in their own way.
Leading the charge is Wembanyama, whose incredible rise continues after becoming the NBA’s first unanimous Defensive Player of the Year. Clark makes history as the first WNBA player to receive her own global NBA 2K cover, while Bulls icon Derrick Rose returns to the spotlight with a special Ultra Edition that pays tribute to one of the league’s most electrifying MVPs.
Alongside the cover reveal, 2K has confirmed that the first NBA 2K27 gameplay trailer will premiere worldwide on July 29, giving fans their first proper look at this year’s on-court action.
NBA 2K27 officially launches on September 4 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (Steam), and Nintendo Switch 2. Players who pick up the Deluxe or Ultra Edition can jump in even earlier, with Early Access kicking off on August 29.
Three editions will be available at launch. The Standard Edition ($99.95 AUD) features Wembanyama, while the Deluxe Edition ($119.95 AUD) stars Caitlin Clark and includes 100,000 VC, bonus MyCAREER and MyTEAM content, plus Early Access. For the biggest fans, the Ultra Edition ($239.95 AUD) celebrates Derrick Rose and packs in additional VC, Season Pass content, exclusive MyCAREER rewards, premium MyTEAM cards, and more.
