Malaysian creative duo PandaShuen and Chaigo the Stray recently unveiled the latest chapter of their collaborative designer toy series, introducing a striking new black and white GamDouDuck (咁都 DUCK) during SuperToy Fest 2026 in Kuala Lumpur.

Held at GMBB from July 3 to 5, SuperToy Fest 2026 brought together more than 80 artists from Malaysia and around the world, providing the perfect stage for the duo to debut the newest colourway of the highly sought after sofubi figure.

The latest PandaShuen x Chaigo the Stray edition features a clean monochrome finish, complemented by a vibrant red string and classic yellow bell around its neck. Minimal in colour but rich in personality, the new release proves that simplicity can make just as much of a statement. With only 45 pieces produced, it instantly became one of the event’s standout collectibles.

For PandaShuen founder and creative director Nikki Ng, GamDouDuck has always represented more than just another designer toy.
“I didn’t set out to make this serious. Somewhere along the way, I started to believe pure fun can be the purpose. A duck is only ‘supposed’ to be yellow, but that kind of thinking boxes in the child in us. We can be anything, as long as we’re willing to want it.”
That philosophy continues to define the project, encouraging creativity, individuality and the freedom to challenge expectations through art and design.

The release also marked the second collaboration between PandaShuen and Chaigo the Stray. Following the success of their first GamDouDuck collaboration in 2025, the partnership has continued to evolve, including appearances at Automechanika Kuala Lumpur, further cementing the pair as exciting names within Malaysia’s growing art toy scene.

Created by renowned Malaysian graffiti artist Kenji Chai, Chaigo the Stray has grown from a street art character into one of the country’s most recognisable creative IPs, spanning murals, designer toys, apparel and collaborations while embodying resilience, freedom and carving your own path.

Meanwhile, PandaShuen, founded by Nikki Ng, continues to bridge art, fashion, automotive culture and travel through thoughtfully crafted collaborations that celebrate creativity, sustainability and everyday joy.

As designer toys continue to gain momentum across Asia and beyond, releases like GamDouDuck highlight the strength of Malaysia’s creative community. With its limited production run and distinctive aesthetic, the latest colourway was undoubtedly one of the highlights of SuperToy Fest 2026 and another reminder that some of the region’s most exciting collaborations continue to come from passionate independent creators.
