After the huge success and enthusiastic response of their first and second collaboration, global sports brand ASICS and high contemporary brand Andersson Bell join forces once again for their third collaboration collection.
This third collaboration model between ASICS and Andersson Bell is a GEL-SONOMA™ 15-50, which was created as a technical sneaker for trail running. This sneaker blends notable technology of ASICS and creativity unique to Andersson Bell.
Andersson Bell x ASICS GEL-SONOMA™ 15-50 will be available in both Men’s and Women’s sizes in three colourway: Black/Green, Olive Oil/Dark Brown and Bright Rose/Evergreen. This collection will be priced at $250 AUD.
We know the story of The Mandalorian Season 3 will see Mando and Grogu on a quest to restore the homeworld of Mandalore. That is no easy task, as the Mandalorian tribes have been scattered by Mandalore’s conquest, not ot mention their conflicting cultural views. Mando stands as a bridge between hardliners like The Armorer and her Tribe, and Bo-Katan Kryze and her Nite Owl faction. While he holds the Darksaber, it’s Mando who will also be the target of every faction trying to become the new leaders of Mandalore – as well as lingering enemies like the Imperial remnants controlled by Moff Gideon.
Giancarlo Esposito who plays Gideon recently spoke about the upcoming season to Collider about why this will be the best season yet
“I just think that the show gets more expanded and more visually profound with each season. And I think it’s the vision of Jon Favreau and David Filoni, certainly, that begins that expansion. But it’s also all of the artisans that they trust to collaborate with them. I was blown away by that sizzle reel. All of a sudden, the world just came at you in a much more intense, and – it’s always been gratifying – but in a way that allowed you to know… You know that feeling that you have of dread or doom, or excitement personified? That’s the feeling you get because the story is all of a sudden being coalesced for you to understand elements that you didn’t know about,” Esposito shared.
He continued, “Look, we can say a lot of words about a lot of different things, just like Kaleidoscope. But I think when you watch it, you have the space to feel emotion and connection between characters. The Mandalorian, you have the space to feel the largess of this universe, of this world-building. And you have the space to see where you fit in. God, I wish I could be that warrior, that hero, that heroine. And we see the weakness and the power of the villainous who want for themselves and not for the whole. What I love about this show, it is about our army, is about all of us who are starting to understand, once again, it’s for the people and by the people. And if we stand up and allow our voices to be heard, and understand there’s strength in numbers, we can then recreate the world as it should be in peace, harmony, and creatively, scientifically, and politically, a way for us to understand that there are no borders anymore. The Mandalorian exemplifies all of that.”
With that being said, we will only have to wait until March 1st to see all this when Season 3 will begin streaming on Disney+
We are only 5 weeks out from the start of Phase 5 of the MCU and we now have the 2nd trailer to the upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania movie. It was only 2 months ago, we got the first look at this movie. So marketing around the MCU movies is getting closer and closer to release dates now
The first trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania released in October and gave a short glimpse at even more of the Quantum Realm. Even with the Avengers’ time caper in Avengers: Endgame to steal the Infinity Stones, there is still much about the Quantum Realm that is unknown. One can assume Ant-Man 3 will reveal more secrets about the Quantum Realm, along with how Ant-Man and Kang cross paths.
The biggest thing to come out of this new trailer was the very first look at MODOK. The fan-favourite villian was seen in his full-headed glory. Now, there has been alot of rumours on who will play him, however it has been confirmed that Corey Stroll is playing the villian.
For those who remember, Corey Stroll was involved with the first Ant-Man movie as Darren Cross aka Yellowjacket. In the final fight between him and Scott Lang, he was defeated by Scott going sub-atomic and sending Cross into the Quantum Relam. So this will be interesting to see how he evolves from Cross to Modok.
In the comics, M.O.D.O.K. was A.I.M. agent and technician George Tarleton, who was transformed into the living computer originally known as M.O.D.O.C. (Mental Organism Designed Only for Computing) by the scientists of Advanced Idea Mechanics. From his hovering Doomsday Chair, the intellectually-superior mutate with an enlarged head has been opposed by Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, and the Avengers, who have thwarted M.O.D.O.K.’s repeat attempts at world domination.
He’s sometimes worked alongside other evil geniuses — including the Leader, Doctor Doom, and the Mad Thinker — as part of the big-brained bad guy super-group known as the Intelligencia.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is due to hit cinemas here in Australia on February 16th with international release on 17th.

Due to this thing called ‘Life’, our event recap for our Auckland event is a bit delayed. LOL! We wrapped up the It’s More Than Just Sneakers (IMTJS) lifestyle tour with a bang on the 26th of November. For the first time in it’s history, the IMTJS event landed in Auckland, New Zealand! We were excited to meet the community and see how this event turns out in this new location.
Before the doors to the Freemans Bay Community Hall officially opened, a line up had already begun outside the venue with guests excited to see what IMTJS had to offer. To add to that excitement, our friends at Monster Energy were on site handing out a variety of their drinks to the guests. Judging by the line up outside, we knew we needed one of those drinks for ourselves to help us get through what turned out to be one of the busiest events we all had been involved in.
Freemans Bay Community Hall was at full capacity during the event which hosted over 20 local vendors selling and displaying anything from basketball cards, artwork, clothing and of course sneakers. With a wide range of sneakers on offer, it wasn’t surprising to see people walk around showing off their latest pick up with a big smile on their face. The wait in line was worth it for them.
As with all IMTJS events, the raffles throughout the day was a big hit. With our generous sponsors providing the prizes, our lucky winners walked away with anything from clothing, games, watches, more sneakers, Foot Locker vouchers and more. Maybe it was the adrenalin pumping, the lack of sleep we had the previous night or the amazing vibe during the event but the raffle didn’t stop when it was suppose to. An additional raffle was announced with Foot Locker vouchers going to more lucky winners.
Speaking to a few of the vendors and guests, it was clear that this community are very passionate and supportive. Vendors don’t mind getting up early to pack their cars with merchandise, setting up their tables and then packing it all up again. Guests didn’t mind and never complained about lining up just to get inside. To most of them, this event gave the community an opportunity to reconnect and share something they love.

The Spider-Verse is unleashed in the official trailer for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. The sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse swings into theaters on June 2, 2023, and reunites Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) with Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld), as they embark on another adventure to save the Spider-Verse. Fan-favorite Spider heroes like Spider-Man 2099 (Oscar Isaac) and Spider-Punk (Daniel Kaluuya) are also set to star, as they team up against the villainous Spot. Oh, and did we mention there’s already a third movie scheduled in the Spider-Verse franchise – Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse?
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse producer Phil Lord revealed that the new movie will have six distinct animation styles, compared to the one style from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
“The first film had one animation style that dominates the movie. This movie has six,” Lord told Empire. “So we’re taking those tools, adding all the things we learned on The Mitchells Vs The Machines, and then growing them further to accommodate the ambition of this movie. Which is to wow you every time you enter a new environment, and also to make sure that the style of the movie reflect the story, and that the images are driven by feelings, as opposed to some egg-headed art project. Which it also is, by the way!”

Japan’s streetwear brand Fxxking Rabbits (#FR2) and leading sneaker marketplace SNKRDUNK have teamed up for a limited edition collection that will only be released exclusively in the SNKRDUNK Singapore store. This first-ever partnership between the two Japanese brands includes parodies that show their mutual passion for disruption in their respective scenes.

Foot Locker is opening a new Power Store in Brisbane City. Located at the high-traffic Queen Street Mall intersection and neighbouring McDonald’s and Hungry Jacks’ restaurants, the expansive 719sqm Foot Locker store is a relocation and major expansion of the previous Foot Locker and House of Hoops store in the adjacent Albert Street.
The new store will bring a new level of retail experience and sneaker culture excitement to Brisbane City. With tiered levels of premium men’s, women’s and kids footwear, apparel and accessories, the store will provide a first-of-its kind interactive experience in partnership with Nike, where hoops lovers can test their basketball footwork skills and experience with real time digital and audio feedback and scores.

KangaROOS has once more teamed up with French street culture aficionado Selecta Bisso to create the highly unique ‘Trout II’ as part of their Made In Germany collaborations.
So what’s so unique about these shoes? Well, ever seen sneakers using real fish skin? KangaROOS and Bisso combined premium suede with authentic tanned fish leather, giving these shoes a truly distinctive characteristic.
Bisso drew inspiration from the world of concrete and nature in which he practises ‘street fishing’ – a sport to hunt fish in the local waterways within a city. The shoes are a perfect balance of different shades of grey, with splashes of vibrant colours, reminiscent of the fish and the environment in which they reside.
The Trout II’s defining fish leather was sustainably sourced from food industry waste, and created using a vegetable tanning process. With only 500 pairs on the market, each pair has the numbering at the heel of the right shoe. You’ll also find a rainbow trout heel stamp, and the collaborative branding on the tongue. In line with their efforts at sustainability, each pair also comes with an additional KangaROOS tote bag.
