Foot Locker is partnering with the Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL) for the 2024-25 season. This will strengthen the support for women’s sports and basketball’s growth in Australia. This partnership reflects Foot Locker’s commitment to empowering female athletes and promoting basketball.

Launching the partnership, Foot Locker will host the WNBL season kickoff at its new “Foot Locker Reimagined” store in Melbourne Central on October 23rd. Players will share sneaker stories, basketball experiences, and season predictions with fans and media.

Also, throughout the season, Foot Locker’s branding will feature across digital platforms, stadiums, and promotional campaigns. Fans can expect game-day activations, LED signage, and floor decals at every match, reinforcing Foot Locker’s support for the league.

Bec Cole, WNBL and NBL1 Champion, expressed her excitement:

“Foot Locker stepping up as a major WNBL partner is incredible. We always push to win the ‘Foot Locker Player of the Week’ voucher in the NBL1. I’m excited to see how Foot Locker elevates the league and motivates players.”

Moreover, Foot Locker will also gain media exposure through WNBL broadcasts, website features, and social media promotions, with fan giveaways and integration into the WNBL awards program.

Additionally, WNBL Head Christy Collier-Hill added, “We are thrilled to welcome Foot Locker as a major partner. This collaboration boosts the league’s visibility and enhances fan engagement.”

Furthermore, this follows Foot Locker’s sponsorship of the Australian men’s team, the Boomers, and ongoing support of the NBL and NBL1. For 50 years, Foot Locker has equipped athletes with sneakers and apparel, helping them make their mark on and off the court.
