To celebrate Josh Kalis 25 years with the DC Shoes brand, they are releasing a limited skate collection featuring the Truth and the iconic Supertour Jersey. Kalis’ second signature shoe, the Truth has remained one of the more sought-after silhouettes from the DC Shoes archive. Initially released in 2001, it built on the success of his first pro shoe (the Kalis OG) and furthered their legacy of working together to design game-changing skate shoes.
The Truth’s tech is second to none — even over 20 years later — mixing an athletic-inspired design with modern skate tech and durable construction. The multi-layered upper and mesh panels sit on a reinforced outsole with airbags and translucent rubber. It’s the quintessential early 2000s skate design, and fans have been asking for DC Shoes to remake it for years.
And those fans asking for the Truth are bound to be equally excited about the other piece in the collection, the Supertour Jersey. To this day, most skaters can instantly recognize the iconic design of the jersey worn by the team during DC Shoes 1998 Euro Supertour. Easily one of the most memorable tours in skate history, it also happened to be Kalis’ first trip as a DC Shoes team rider. So exactly 25 years later, the jersey (#25, of course) is DC Shoes way of celebrating Kalis’ legacy. While DC Shoes has released similar designs over the years, this jersey is most true to the original.
