Fairfax (Los Angeles) and Harajuku based streetwear brand, Brain Dead are thrilled to bring you their latest collaborative partnership with ASICS, the TRABUCO MAX™ ‘Chaos Slime.’ Utilizing one of ASICS trail running silhouettes, the TRABUCO MAX™ is the most technologically advanced sneaker to date.
The Brain Dead x ASICS TRABUCO MAX™ ‘Chaos Slime’ sneaker blends various design influences that stem from slime moulds and mycelium growth. Its look and feel represents the idea of nature creating forms that adapt to its surrounding environment.
The sneaker is made to interact with the trail like a mushroom interacts with the earth. Since traction is key for navigating off-road surfaces, they have included an ASICSGRIP™ outsole to keep you more connected to the outdoors. Meanwhile, the midsole is injected with FLYTEFOAM™ cushioning and GUIDESOLE™ technology. These components are designed to improve shock absorption and equip your stride with a smooth forward roll.
The ‘Chaos Slime’ sneaker release will come with a custom animated video created by Gage Lindsten featuring monsters and aliens in homage to the sneaker slime green sole and dark, otherworldly aura.
The Brain Dead x ASICS TRABUCO MAX™ ‘Chaos Slime’ will be available online via wearebraindead.com on Tuesday, 12th of October and as well in-store at the Brain Dead Studios in Fairfax and Harajuku.
