In my opinion, these are one of the best-designed Dunks to drop this year! Initially, I thought they were General Releases because they were so widely available, but they are actually Quick Strikes! Let’s dive in!

Today, we’re looking at the Nike SB Dunk Low Pro Olympic Safaris. The official colorway is Phantom, Black, Monarch, Summit White, and Chlorine Blue. The off-white Nike SB box should have been my first clue, as it’s reserved for Quick Strike releases!

The uppers feature iconic safari prints stamped over the grey suede panels on the toe box and heel. A black leather Nike Swoosh, crafted from genuine leather, overlays the beige/grey suede panels that extend to the heel, where you’ll also find a hairier black suede. Meanwhile, an orange Nike logo is stitched onto the heel mud flaps, and the black nylon tongue is fitted with an orange Nike logo tab.

Inside, the lining is made of the same orange fabric mesh. The classic Dunk soles, in white, are contrasted by black stitching, rubber soles, and an orange foam Nike SB logo. Cushioning is provided primarily by the insoles, which are equipped with a heel-loaded Air Zoom unit and a crash pad at the forefoot.

Out of the box they come equipped with the oval chlorine blue laces and an extra set of black oval laces is also an option. I actually prefer the black ones!

Overall, this is probably my second favorite Nike SB Dunk Low design for 2024, with the first being the Futuras. While the colorway comes from a pack of other safari-inspired sneakers and pays homage to the 2024 Olympics. It  clearly nods to Tinker Hatfield’s classic 1987 Nike Air Safaris! The colorway pops and serves as a versatile accent piece for most outfits. As always, Nike SB Dunk Lows run true to size, so those with wider feet should consider going half a size up.
