The Way of Wade Xll is finally here! This weekend, Courtside Melbourne will officially launch two flagship colorways of the Way of Wade 12. You don’t want to miss it! While you’re there, here’s a quick sneak peek and first impression of the Way of Wade 12 “DLO Player Exclusive” colorway.
Straight out of the box, the first thing that hits you is how insanely lightweight. These are—my size 9 pair comes in at only 330 grams! That could very well make it the lightest Way of Wade ever released. The design details are equally impressive. A distinct shell-shaped toe box that wraps toward the medial side and finishes with the Wade logo—a clever and stylish touch.
You’ll also notice the embossed ta moko–inspired graphics, giving the upper a fabric-like, tattooed texture that truly stands out. And of course, it wouldn’t be a D’Angelo Russell PE without his signature “DLoading” branding.
Performance-wise, the double-stacked Super BOOM foam delivers next-level responsiveness and bounce. While the carbon fiber plate sandwiched between the foams ensures exceptional energy return and stability. The tongue and gusset design lock your foot in perfectly—creating that “second-skin” feel every guard dreams of.
Though the toe box looks structured and durable, it’s surprisingly comfortable. The upper feels like premium leather but is actually a synthetic material that’s both flexible and durable. Fit-wise, they’re true to size. Wide-footers should go half a size up for comfort.
Finally, the Way of Wade 12 features GCU rubber traction, built for elite indoor grip and long-lasting performance—just don’t take them outdoors if you want to preserve that perfect traction.
