The Kyrie 2 fits me true to size, although the midfoot feels slightly narrow. If you have wide feet, I recommend going half a size up for a more comfortable fit.
Right out of the box, the first thing you’ll notice is the crazy lace setup.
The shoe comes with thick, fuzzy, multicolored flat laces finished with golden lace tips. At first glance, you might even wonder if you’re looking at a basketball shoe or something from a high-end fashion catalogue.
Too much?
No problem.
Remove the statement laces and you’ll find a second pair of more traditional multicolored flat laces underneath. They sit inside the signature arrow-shaped TPU frame, which also helps improve foot lockdown.
Premium Details Everywhere
The pink tumbled synthetic leather upper immediately gives the Kyrie 2 a premium look and feel. However, the details are what really make this shoe special.
Anta has packed the Kyrie 2 with storytelling elements connected to Kyrie Irving.
I especially like the combination of the blue heel counter and matching pull tab. Then there’s the stitched Tree of Life detail, which is practically a work of art on its own.

Anta Kyrie 2 Performance

The Anta Kyrie 2 is built to Kyrie Irving’s playing style and performance specifications.
Although the outsole looks relatively high from the outside, your foot actually sits surprisingly close to the ground. This low-to-the-ground feel comes from the cushioning setup.
The Kyrie 2 uses Full-Palm Nitro Edge Foam, a nitrogen-infused supercritical foam designed to deliver responsive and active cushioning underfoot.
The cushioning is then supported by a top-loaded shank plate, which adds stability and helps provide energy return during explosive movements.
Underneath, the light-brown, multi-directional anti-slip rubber outsole provides excellent traction. More importantly, it allows you to attack the court confidently when making aggressive cuts and changes of direction.
That’s especially important for a Kyrie signature shoe.
Look closely at the outsole and you’ll notice how aggressively the arrow-like rubber rises up the sides of the shoe. This design helps support those extreme-angle push-offs and quick directional changes that define Kyrie’s style of play.
