The Singapore exclusive collaboration brings orchid inspired detailing, feminine styling and a distinctly local identity to the iconic Samba Jane.
adidas Originals and Singaporean sneaker retailer Limited Edt are continuing their creative partnership with a new take on the Samba Jane.
Introducing the Limited Edt x adidas Originals Samba Jane ‘Black Orchid’, a distinctly Singaporean interpretation of the iconic silhouette that combines Samba heritage with feminine styling and inspiration from one of Singapore’s most recognisable flowers.
Inspired by the Black Orchid
The ‘Black Orchid’ takes the classic Samba Jane and pushes it into darker territory.
A deep black palette is paired with elaborate floral detailing and subtle violet accents, while the signature Mary Jane strap adds a feminine touch to the familiar low top terrace silhouette.
The design draws inspiration from the Vanda Miss Joaquim, Singapore’s national flower, with Limited Edt founder Mandeep Chopra highlighting its symbolism of strength and resilience as a key part of the collaboration.
Details That Stand Out
The ‘Black Orchid’ features a smooth leather upper with a glossy patent black toe box, serrated 3 Stripes branding and subtle violet stitching throughout.
Orchid prints appear across the heel and interior, adding another layer of detail while keeping the overall colour palette understated.
The result is a Samba Jane that keeps its familiar shape while bringing a distinctly Singaporean perspective to the silhouette.
Bloom After Dark
The accompanying ‘Bloom After Dark’ campaign explores a darker expression of femininity through the lens of the modern Singaporean woman.
Moving from office hours to after hours, the campaign follows her through the city as she meets her tribe and dances into the night, with the Samba Jane ‘Black Orchid’ designed to move with her throughout.
BABYMONSTER Have Already Stepped In
The collaboration has already received some K-pop attention, with BABYMONSTER members Ahyeon, Rora and Asa receiving the Samba Jane ‘Black Orchid’ during the adidas Orchard Ignition event in Singapore on 30 August.
The group styled the sneakers alongside pieces from the adidas x Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team Vanda Bloom collection, pairing the black finish of the Samba Jane with floral inspired details.

The Limited Edt x adidas Originals Samba Jane ‘Black Orchid’ are now available through adidas Singapore at adidas.com.sg and selected adidas stores across Singapore.
The sneaker retails for $129.
