Six designers. Six interpretations. One ZX8000 will be selected by sneaker fans through an adidas CONFIRMED community vote.

adidas Originals is bringing together London sneaker retailer OFFSPRING and Tokyo’s mita sneakers for a special adidas Consortium project built around one of the brand’s most recognisable silhouettes, the ZX8000.
The collaboration continues a relationship that started through competition and developed into creative collaboration, with both retailers bringing their own sneaker cultures and perspectives to the project.

From Competition to Collaboration
The relationship between OFFSPRING and mita sneakers goes back to the CONSORTIUM CUP, held in February 2023.
The project brought together 16 sneaker retailers from around the world to compete through footwear design. The experience helped build the relationship between the two stores, eventually leading to their first collaboration through adidas Consortium in October 2025.
Now, that relationship moves into its next chapter with a new ZX8000 project.

Six Takes on the ZX8000
Rather than presenting a single finished design, the project features six different ZX8000 creations, each designed by a creator with a different background and perspective.
The six concepts showcase individual interpretations of the silhouette, giving each designer the freedom to approach the ZX8000 in their own way.
But there’s a twist.
Only one of the six models will ultimately become the next mita sneakers x OFFSPRING collaboration.

Your Vote Decides
The community has been invited to decide which design moves forward through the adidas CONFIRMED vote.
Voting ran from 25 September 2026 at 10:00am CET through to 30 September at 11:59pm CET, giving the community the opportunity to choose which of the six ZX8000 designs would become the final mita sneakers x OFFSPRING collaboration. The result is set to be announced on 1 October at 10:00am CET.
The winning ZX8000 will go on to become the official mita sneakers x OFFSPRING collaboration model, turning the community vote into part of the design story itself.

London Meets Tokyo
At the centre of the project is the connection between two independent sneaker retailers from opposite sides of the world.
OFFSPRING has built its identity around London’s sneaker culture, while mita sneakers has established itself in Tokyo’s Ueno and Ameyoko district as an influential independent sneaker retailer known for collaborations and projects across the global sneaker scene.
The ZX8000 becomes the canvas for that ongoing exchange of ideas, with the final direction shaped not only by the designers but by the people who vote.
Six visions. One ZX8000. The community gets the final say.
