Today, we review the Mizuno Wave MG4 LS SW in the Blue, White and Red colourway, created in collaboration with Round Two founder Sean Wotherspoon.

Let’s check out Sean Wotherspoon’s latest collaboration with Mizuno!

Priced at $260 AUD, you can now grab a pair from Mizuno Australia.

In terms of sizing, they fit true to size but feel narrow. Therefore, I recommend going half a size up if you have wide feet.

The design follows the “City to Nature” theme, combining vintage-inspired details with a sleek, modern runner silhouette.

The upper features stonewashed indigo denim and hickory stripe overlays. Meanwhile, neon yellow accents add a vibrant pop of colour, while the red mesh lining creates even more contrast.

Sean also adds silver panels as a nod to Y2K running shoes. Plus, the blue TPU Mizuno emblem on the heel gives the design another standout detail.

Out of the box, you get off-white oval laces, plus extra neon yellow and red options. Personally, I’d swap them out to give these kicks even more pop.

Underfoot, Mizuno combines U4icX midsole foam with a Wave plate in the heel for cushioning and stability. The durable X10 carbon rubber outsole delivers reliable traction.

There’s also a black colourway, although that pair will be exclusive to Japan.

Personally, I don’t think Sean has topped his most iconic Nike collaborations just yet. However, the Wave MG4 LS comes pretty close.

I especially love how the denim could develop a faded patina over time, giving the shoes that vintage character we associate with Sean’s stores. The hickory stripes also add a distinct Japanese-inspired aesthetic.

Overall, the Mizuno Wave MG4 LS x Sean Wotherspoon is a strong contender for fans of vintage runners and unique collaborations. If you can still find your size, this pair is definitely worth checking out!
