The Brain Dead x ASICS TRABUCO MAX™ ‘Chaos Slime’ sneaker blends various design influences that stem from slime moulds and mycelium growth. Its look and feel represents the idea of nature creating forms that adapt to its surrounding environment.

The sneaker is made to interact with the trail like a mushroom interacts with the earth. Since traction is key for navigating off-road surfaces, they have included an ASICSGRIP™ outsole to keep you more connected to the outdoors. Uncharted Official Movie Trailer

For many years, there have been many attempts to get an Uncharted movie off the ground. For those living under a rock, Uncharted is a massive popular Playstation game franchise that itself felt inspired by adventure movies like Indiana Jones and Tomb Raider.

This movie looks the goods with Tom Holland (Spider-Man: Homecoming) playing the lead role of Nathan Drake who teams up with Victor Sullivan played by Mark Wahlberg to track down the greatest treasure never found which leads to clues about Drake’s long lost brother who was also tracking down the same treasure.

It looks like the movie will take bits from Drake’s Fortune, Amoung Thieves, Thief’s End & The Lost Legacy video games. For those of you who were enjoying watching new releases at home during the pandemic, we’ve got some bad news: Uncharted won’t be getting a simultaneous release on Netflix in February. You’ll have to wait until its had its run on the big screen. The film is set to debut on Netflix within two years of its cinematic release, and that’s likely all the info we’re going to get until after the the movie’s had its time at the box office. 

Uncharted is set to hit cinemas on February 18th 2022

Limited Edt and adidas Consortium teams up to deliver its innovative take on the adidas Equipment (EQT) Race Walk. This collaboration was inspired by the F1 Night Race of the Singapore Grand Prix, which takes over the city after dark. The ever-growing supercar culture was chosen to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of adidas Equipment (EQT) under the “Life Needs Equipment” project.

Similar to the luxurious interiors of supercars, the shoe features a matte black nubuck upper, premium polished leather stripes and reflective details. To complete it, the glow-in-the-dark piping takes inspiration from the aggressive angles of the modern-day supercar. The result is a sleek modern take on a retro classic that will take you from day to night in a flash. The Limited Edt x adidas Consortium EQT Race Walk is limited to only 500 pairs worldwide, making this exclusive pair worthy of any collection.

Each pair of the Limited Edt x adidas Consortium EQT Race Walk will come with an extra set of laces with reflective details and a lanyard with a serialised Access Pass (001 to 500) reminiscent of the F1 Paddock passes.

The Access Pass has a QR code which gives you access to everything you need to know about this project. It also includes interviews and a host of privileges like vouchers and goodies at various sports, lifestyle and entertainment venues. This all exceeds the retail price of the shoe. For the people who purchase their pairs early on the release day, another extra bonus will be an adidas Life Needs Equipment coffee table book that chronicles the history of this line and features the works of all 12 collaborative pairs with adidas Consortium partners.

From the 25th of October to the 7th of November, the Limited Edt x adidas Consortium EQT Race Walk will be available at the Limited Edt Needs Equipment pop-up at Peninsula Shopping Complex. The pop-up store, under the pseudonym of “LE Sporting Goods,” mimics a nostalgic sporting goods store in the 90s. This is a subtle nod to Limited Edt’s parent company Weston Corporation which was founded in 1949. They have been a stalwart of Peninsula Shopping Complex; a mall which perhaps enjoyed its heyday back in the early 90s with its eclectic variety of stores.

The adidas EQT line was introduced in 1991. It represented the pinnacle of adidas performance products. For the 30th anniversary of adidas Equipment (EQT) under the “Life Needs Equipment” project, 12 global retailers were tasked to give their take on iconic EQT models: CSG 91, Running Support 93, Prototype and Race Walk.

mita sneakers is proud to present the M990 V2, the second exclusive model in the series of flagship models from New Balance. It inherits the number 990 from the first 990, which appeared in 1982. This OG was the origin of the 99X series, which gave rise to the series of flagship models in 1998. This latest model has dramatically evolved in functionality, and the limited colours add a touch of playfulness to the traditional sneaker.

This new model incorporates the latest technology such as the ‘ABZORB’ cushioning placed visibly on the heel, and the overall look has shifted to a high-tech appearance. It is one of the masterpieces of the series and has been highly acclaimed for its perfection in design.

Google Pixel 6 Launch

Another year, another Google Pixel phone launch. This time around we have on deck the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. All the hype around this phone has been huge. The ads, leaks have been going crazy for weeks and now, Google have finally launched the new phones.

The new Google Pixel range is the first in Australia to have the 5G mmWave technology. What is this? To sum it up, its a short-range, high-frequency network technology that shows what 5G can really do. Its the next “wave” of 5G technology.

Both models come in 3 colours – Stormy Black, Cloudy White and Sorta Sunny for the Pro and Stormy Black, Kinda Coral and Sorta Seafoam for the normal version.

The Pixel 6 range starts at $999AUD and goes to $1599 for the top spec Pixel 6 Pro. Google have always been cheaper then the bigger players but now they are stepping up their technology.

The company says the phone, which features its first custom-designed and built processor dubbed Google Tensor, is its “smartest and fastest” yet and runs up to 80 per cent faster than the previous Pixel 5 model.

It also comes with the Pixel’s most advanced camera so far. The Pro’s front camera features three separate lenses – a 50-megapixel wide lens, a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 48-megapixel telephoto lens with a four-times optical zoom.

As well as the standard features, the Google-powered phone features some of the search giant’s advanced AI including live translation for video captions, signs and private chats in up to 55 languages.

The Pixel 6 is slightly smaller than the Pro at 6.4 inches compared with 6.7 inches, and features a lower-resolution 1080×2340 display versus the Pro’s 1440×3120.

The Pro display also runs at an ultra-smooth 120Hz refresh rate, compared with 90Hz for the standard.

Both phones come with wireless fast charging, a Gorilla Glass display and fingerprint unlock, among other features.

All the major telcos and shops have opened up pre-orders for the phone which is set for release on the 28th October.

DC Fandome 2021 Wrap

DC’s Fandome live streaming event happened over the weekend and gave us at look at some of their upcoming films, TV shows, video games and comic books from the DC Universe. Their event last year was huge for DC, hence why live streaming events will become more of the norm moving forward. Here is a wrap on the biggest highlights from the event which has definately got us excited for whats coming up.

The Batman New Trailer

The biggest thing to come out of the Fandome event was the new trailer for the upcoming Matt Reeves version of The Batman starring Robert Pattison as the caped crusader. This story is set during Batman’s second year as as crimefighter and sees him investigating a series of murders committed by Paul Dano’s The Riddler. He is working alongside Gotham Police ally James Gordon, who is played by Jeffrey Wright, and his investigation also puts him on a crash course with Kravitz’ Selina Kyle/Catwoman.

The Flash: First Footage

While we didnt get too much about this, Erza Miller (The Flash) helped revealed the first footage of the upcoming Flash movie which also stars Michael Keaton returning as Batman from the original Batman movies.

Black Adam: First Footage

Finally we get a look at the upcoming Black Adam movie starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as the superhero facing up against Pierce Bronson’s “Dr Fate”.

Shazam! Fury Of The Gods: First Footage

Shazam! was a huge hit for DC which triggered the sequel which has almost wrapped production. Zachery Levi gave us a first look at the upcoming sequel which will star Helen Mirren as Hespera & Lucy Liu as Kalypso facing off the Shazam family

Peacemaker HBO Max Official Trailer

A spin-off from the James Gunn version of The Suicide Squad will have John Cena reprising his role as The Peacemaker in a new series for HBO Max. This is due to hit the streaming service on Jan 13th 2022

Denim Tears x ASICS GEL-MC PLUS™

Denim Tears and ASICS announce their first ever collaboration. This two-shoe pack is built on the GEL-MC PLUS™ model, marking the first-time this silhouette has been used as part of an artist collaboration and was brought back from ASICS’ 1990s performance running model.

The ASICS pack was built by Denim Tears founder, Tremaine Emory. The artist-merchant and creative director’s design inspiration came from the ‘Georgia red clay dirt’ in Harlem, Georgia.

“Harlem is a one red light town where both sides of my family are from. I spent every summer in that small town and by the end of the summer, my older brother’s and I sneakers were red from running and playing in the dirt,” said Emory.

“The same red dirt our elders walked, ran, played, and died in. Ultimately, we come up from the red clay and eventually return to it in the end – the in-between is our life.”

Originally created by GEL-LYTE™ III shoe designer, Shigeyuki Mitsui in 1995, the GEL-MC PLUS™ sneaker returns from the ASICS running archive with a reimagined midsole design.

This 90s performance model emphasises the notion of “Motion Control,” featuring its nylon midfoot strap. Technical for its time, it has been redesigned with the midsole with the GEL-CUMULUS® 17 running shoe tooling to evolve the design’s retro aesthetic.

Built with hits of pigskin nubuck and blended with tumbled leather, the design emulates the impact of walking on the Georgia Red Clay through a burnished and brushed midsole.

We are excited to introduce to you the latest collaboration project by Quiccs. If you haven’t heard of him, then you better listen up. This talented artist from the Philippines is making his mark once again with global brand powerhouse, adidas.

Juanito ‘Quiccs’ Maiquez, a Filipino toy designer and visual artist, has already had a lot of success with adidas. His ‘Manila Tees’, as well as the ‘Manila Heritage’ colourway for the Harden Vol. 5, which was to celebrate the 123rd Independence Day of the Philippines, proved extremely popular. In this Quiccs x adidas Forum Low collab, he has used his artistry to create a reimagined version of adidas‘ iconic silhouette.

His rendition of the classic adidas sneaker comes after the launch of the FW21 Forum. Those Forum designs celebrated those unafraid to embrace an open attitude to life and redefine the style of tomorrow. Quiccs embodies this spirit, and his Forum marks the first time a Filipino designed an adidas Originals sneaker.
