Sneaker Con, dubbed ‘The Greatest Sneaker Show on Earth,’ will be making its way into Southeast Asia, debuting in Singapore in April 2023 at the Singapore Expo. The event is guaranteed to be jam-packed, showcasing a wide variety of communities to visitors to experience the immersive world of sneakers and street culture.
Established 2009, Sneaker Con’s goal has always been to expand the sneaker community by designing a dedicated marketplace for sneakerheads to talk shop, show off their collections and make trades. Sneaker Con has since celebrated the love for rare designs, coveted drops, and grail-worthy releases by holding over 100 events in over 40 cities around the globe. With the inaugural Sneaker Con SEA taking place in Singapore, the high-octane event aims to attract sneakerheads from around Southeast Asia and bridge the gap between regional and global brands and designers. Special guests coming to the event will be Jeff Staple (STAPLE), Jaysse Lopez (Urban Necessities), Mandeep Chopra (Limited Edt) and Mark Ong (SBTG).
The event will go for two full days of fun-filled activities for street culture aficionados. From getting a precious steal at the marketplace to trading for your dream pair of shoes in the trading pit, there is never a dull moment for not just devoted sneakerheads, but devotees of counterculture and fashion fanatics. Attendees and participants alike will have the rare chance to appreciate and experience the transformative culture of sneakers through these Sneaker Con trademark events:
• Marketplace
It is going to be shoes galore at Sneaker Con SEA and the Marketplace is where the bulk of it is at. With over 200 international and local renowned brands and collaborations, the Marketplace will be a thriving ground for like-minded street culture lovers.
• Trading Pit
The backbone of every Sneaker Con, the Trading Pit is where anyone can find their desired kicks or make a quick buck with their trades. Buy, sell or trade your favourite footwear, and network with fellow sneakerheads from the region and beyond.
• Ace of Customs
At Sneaker Con SEA, talent is always celebrated. Ace of Customs is where the stars of the custom sneaker world shine. Participants have the chance to customise sneakers and gain valuable insights from influential judges and personalities from the sneaker community.
• Sneaker Conversations
Take in enriching panel discussions and engage with key opinion leaders and personalities from the sneaker and street culture community.
• Ballin’ and Sk8ing
Basketball, football and skateboarding, have been closely tied with sneaker and street culture over the years, so it is no doubt that these sports will be featured during Sneaker Con SEA.
