KangaROOS has teamed up with Brisbane Moss for their first collaboration to create the brand new Racer Hybrid ‘Kord’ sneaker. Brisbane Moss is a premium English apparel company using only the best high-end fabrics. Both KangaROOS and Brisbane Moss share a passion for high quality materials and fabrics using the best production methods which are focused on sustainability. Using corduroy, this collaboration highlights this distinctive fabric on the Racer Hybrid silhouette, making another incomparable sneaker.
Just a quick run down of Brisbane Moss. The brand was founded in the middle of the 19th century in Lancashire. Professional weavers and processors of corduroy and moleskin, these British artisans were a benchmark for high-end fabrics. Today, the company remains true to its values and places great emphasis on sustainable production. All Brisbane Moss fabrics comply with the Oeko-Tex 100 standard, which ensures legal compliance of textile products produced without harmful substances.
The Brisbane Moss x KangaROOS Racer Hybrid ‘Kord’ is dressed in shades of wood brown and black. It features a corduroy upper. Material is made from the highest quality cotton yarns, which are spun on looms in Lancashire. The corduroy is then processed in Münchweiler at the high-end shoe factory Hummel & Hummel. To complete the design, the eyelets and overlays on the toes appear in suede. The harmony of the design is ensured by tone-on-tone elements, such as the tongue tag, the inner fabric lining and the heel clip. The whole upper is based on an off-white midsole with a DYNACOIL cushioning system and a bluish-black outsole.
The Brisbane Moss x KangaROOS Racer Hybrid ‘Kord’ will be released on the 20th of November online at kangaroos.de/shop and at selected retailers: 43einhalb / Acribik / AFEW / Allike / Alte Schule / Asphaltgold / Bijsmaak / Chmielna 20 / Egotrips / Footshop / Gloryhole / Hanon / HHV / Lace Up / Mainsource / Outback / Overkill / Schrittmacher / SneakAvenue / Sneakerbaas / Sneakerstudio / Steffl 6th Floor / Street / Suppa.
