ASICS SportStyle continues to push the boundaries of sneaker design through its latest collaboration with Chinese fashion label EMPTY BEHAVIOR. Following their previous partnership, the duo returns with the all-new HYPERSYNC™, a low-profile silhouette that blurs the lines between sport, fashion and artistic expression.
Launching on July 2, the collaboration introduces the concept of “Powerette”, a theme built around the balance of strength and grace. Drawing inspiration from the contrasting worlds of classical ballet and wrestling, the HYPERSYNC™ transforms athletic influences into a fashion-forward lifestyle sneaker that feels equally at home on the street as it does in a gallery.

At first glance, the HYPERSYNC™ stands apart from traditional ASICS SportStyle offerings. Inspired by vintage wrestling shoes, the silhouette features a streamlined, close-to-the-ground profile that has become increasingly popular as low-profile sneakers continue to dominate the market. EMPTY BEHAVIOR then layers in details borrowed from classical dance, creating a unique visual language that celebrates movement in all its forms.
The collaboration’s standout details are found throughout the upper. Pleated ASICS side stripes reference flowing dance skirts, while the tongue incorporates shirring and satin finishes reminiscent of ballet footwear. These softer materials contrast against the shoe’s wrestling-inspired structure, creating a thoughtful balance between performance heritage and contemporary fashion. An integrated elastic tongue construction also delivers an improved fit while maintaining the clean, minimalist aesthetic.



Available in both White/Silver and Black/Pink, each colourway highlights the collection’s central theme through the use of light and shadow. The contrasting palettes reinforce the interplay between power and elegance, allowing the design details to shine while offering two distinctly different looks.
The campaign, photographed on the streets of Paris by fashion photographer Daniel Roché, reinforces the collection’s creative direction. Rather than focusing purely on performance, the imagery captures movement, individuality and youthful self-expression qualities that continue to shape the evolution of ASICS SportStyle collaborations.
