ASICS Japan announces the launch of a special version of the GEL-1090™, an ASICS SportStyle sneaker, designed in collaboration with South Korean fashion brand Andersson Bell.
This collaboration sneaker is created from the GEL-1090™ running shoe that debuted in 2003 and is characterized by a sporty, modern flair. It carries on bold, striking details, like tiger claws on the heel and toe portion reinforcements which convey a sense of quick motion.
This version of the GEL-1090™ is available in three colourways and is finished with mountaineering shoe shoelace hooks, and includes three types of shoelaces with different thicknesses.
All three colourways feature the Andersson Bell logo on the insole and tongue and include GEL™ technology in the heel.
ABOUT ANDERSSON BELL Andersson Bell is a unisex fashion brand founded in 2014 from Seoul, helmed by creative director Kim Dohun. Taking inspiration from the cultures of Korea and Scandinavia, Andersson Bell creates a unique vision. The name is derived from Andersson, a common surname in Sweden, and Bell, representing temple bells found all over Korea.
It’s no secret anymore that there has been a resurgence in the Puma Basketball line. Spear headed by Puma Basketball head designer Jeremy Sallee, hoopers and sneakerheads alike have taken a huge notice. While the fusion of modern-heritage designs have been fire, we’ve always felt that there could’ve been more room for improvement in the cushioning department. Well our prayers have been answered. Literally, designed and inspired from a performance standpoint, it is a no surprise, that the Puma Clyde All-Pro worn by the likes of LaMelo Ball and Kyle Kuzma, has taken the title of 2020’s best basketball performance sneaker.
FIT: 5/5
MATRYXEVO technology compromises the uppers of the Puma Clyde-All Pro. It is a compound mixture of a durable, lightweight and breathable mesh that is made in France. It’s made of the same materials used in bullet-proof kevlar. We found it to be form fitting out of the box, snug and supportive where you need it the most and stretch-free in high impact zones. Strands of the material are also used as the speed lace loops of the kicks. Also, a hidden TPU heel-counter added containment to our foot. We experienced no dead spaces and foot slippages while testing the Puma Clyde All-Pro. They fit true to size and we recommend going half a size up for wide footers.
CUSHIONING: 5/5
This is where Puma Basketball took a huge leap forward in terms of performance. Somehow the newly tweaked PROFOAM+ is light years ahead of its predecessors in terms of overall feedback and responsiveness. On top that, an additional layer of cushioning has been added on the heel via a boost like PEBAX PUCK. The ride has been simply amazing. From heel to toe transitions to high impact landings, the cushioning set-up does its job magnificently. Simply one of the best set-ups if not the best set-up in the modern era basketball sneaker market.
TRACTION: 5/5
We couldn’t find much regarding the tech behind the sticky rubber outsole. But we can safely say that we haven’t felt traction like this since the Kobe 9. The parquet floor like design of the front end of the sole coupled with the aggressive multi-directional pattern on the heel a very assertive bite and grip on any surface. A propulsion foot plate in the forefoot propels the foot forward in a seamless stride. We also, found the inconspicuous outriggers to be very supportive during quick lateral side to side movements.
LOOKS: 5/5
Minimalistically functional. Designed from a performance perspective, the Puma Clyde All-Pro has done away with all the unnecessary gimmicks found in today’s basketball kicks. Instead we find a no frills, all business court performer that gives nods to the Puma Clyde heritage. However, that doesn’t mean it falls shorts in the looks department. In fact, the minimalist look is able to hold on to a mix of colorful palettes and makes it a dope choice for lifestyle fits.
OVERALL: 5/5
Third time’s the charm!!! The Puma Clyde All-Pro is the 3rd Clyde model from Puma Basketball. The Puma Clyde All-Pro is the second recipient of our perfect 5/5 score. The first one was one the Way of Wade 8 (click here for the review). A lot of hoopers have compared it to the Kobe 9. We will however go one step further and say it is a much, much better version of the Kobe 9. For a performance sneaker that was released in 2020, the Puma Clyde All-Pro is still in our opinion the best pound-for-pound ball kicks going into 2021. The Puma Clyde All-Pro retails at 190 AUD and we reckon that is a great value for the specs and performance it provides. Keep and eye out though because we have seen them go on sale at 150 AUD. We will definitely be stocking our rotation with these amazing performance kicks.
Mark Kross released his new single ‘Fallin feat. Suraeh’ on the 12th of February 2021. The single is the third release for Mark Kross.
Based in Sydney, Australia, Mark Kross and Suraeh teamed up to create ‘Fallin’.
Who is Mark Kross? Mark Kross (previously known as DJ Toyboy) began his journey as a DJ in 2001 at the age of 15. He was mentored by his brother, DJ CK1, who taught him the ropes, which soon lead to him a spot as a regular DJ at the most popular under 18’s event at the time, “Kinky U18’s”. This lead to him creating a large database of fans at a very young age.
As he came of age, Mark Kross gained his first club appearance at “Goodbar”, followed by appearances through various other Sydney nightclubs, and it wasn’t until 2010 when Mark Kross was recognised for his talent, and made his move to become a headlining act in the clubs.
In 2019, Mark Kross decided to take on Music Production and begin releasing his own music. In 2020, Mark Kross released his Debut Single “Mi Amor” on all streaming platforms.
Today Mark Kross is a regular name in the nightclub circuit, known to be one of the strongest R&B/Hip Hop talents in Sydney. This name has lead him to regular national shows Australia wide. Among his versatility and impeccable technique being a key factor in his success, Mark Kross is renown for creative live mashups of song during his sets, which sets the crowds off every time.Who is Suraeh? Born on the 19th of September 2000, to two beautiful hearing impaired parents, came the child of I; Suraeh. Growing up in the Sydney suburb of Guildford, he always loved music. Music was in his blood and have always had a dream that one day he’d be up on the big stage.
Throughout his life Suraeh was brought up on Jazz and Rock and Roll, where he fell in love with the soothing voice of Dean Martin and the spectacular nature of Elvis. From there, he branched off into other genres such as Hip Hop, Pop, RnB, Dubstep, Disco and the 80’s where he loved artists from Michael Jackson to the Sugar-hill Gang to Eminem.
It was in high school where Suraeh first picked up a pad and a pen to now just releasing my new EP “Feelings” in May 2020. Suraeh wanted to show the world that the modern lyricist can still reach the hearts of the audience. Making some cry, some happy, some dance and go wild, and some contemplate. He wanted to change the world one song at a time! He wanted to be a voice for those that can’t! Most of all Suraeh wanted to show the world who he is and what he can bring to the table!
‘Fallin’ is a RnB/Pop song that sets a sad, but chill tone. The song is about previous heartbreak and the inability to let your ex go. We’ve all had our hearts broken, so Suraeh wrote about the moments we go through after a break up.
“I’ve been collecting kicks for a minute now. I love to collect all types of sneakers, not just the hyped on.
Like most collectors, as a kid we couldn’t afford expensive shoes. Growing up in the 80s and 90s, owning a pair of Nike‘s or any other popular sports brand was a big deal.
Its funny to watch how sneakers that were once easily obtained are now super hyped. A good example of this is the Dunk / SB Dunk hype situation that’s happening right now. I copped this pair (SB Dunk Cali High) back in 2014 or 2015 from the nike outlet for $60. These days they are selling for close to double retail!!!”

For years, Lebron James has blocked all questions relating to the Space Jam sequel which has been in the works for many years. But now, after all the hype surrounding it, we finally get a first look at the upcoming sequel to the 1996 cult classic thanks to Enterainment Weekly.
Space Jam: A New Legacy is set for release on HBO Max & cinemas on July 16th 2021. It was pushed back from the original 2020 release date due to COVID-19. Another thing to note is that this movie will mark the first theatrical release to feature Looney Tunes characters since Looney Tunes Back In Action (2003), and like the original Space Jam, it will be a combination of live-action & traditional hand drawn 2D animation with some CGI effects.
So, what kind of story will we expect in the upcoming sequel. The premiese of the movie is as follows:
“When basketball champion & global icon Lebron James and his young son Dom, who dreams of being a video game developer, are trapped in a vitrual space by a rogue algorithm named Al-G Rhythm (played by Don Cheadle). Lebron must get them home safe by leading Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Lola Bunny and the whole gang of Looney Tunes to victory over the Al-G’s digitizied champions on the basketball court”

We are only a few weeks away from the premiere of this and we were wondering if this would come to Australia as it was told that HBO Max in America was streaming it. HBO Max isnt available here down under, but we now have some good news!
Streamotion who owns the latest streaming service here in Australia known as Binge will be picking up the rights to show this from 18th March 2021. We can see an influx of subscribers to Binge the week of this as they currently offer a 14-day free trial to the service.
Its been a long process to get to this point, but let us know will you be keen to check out the cut of Justice League that its deserves?
2021 is ramping up its movie schedule with some killer releases. We can thank the guys over at HBO Max for this as the movies will debut in cinemas and on the streaming service the same day. First up we have one of the most anicapted movies which is the reboot to the Midway Games fighting game series, Mortal Kombat.
Funny enough, this movie was shot here in Australia. Well actually in South Australia to be exact. The movie was filmed between September to December 2019. The movie was originally slated for a 2020 release, but COVID-19 unforunately put a halt to that.
While this is a directional debut for Simon McQuoid, he has had the pleasure of having James Wan (Aquaman, Furious 7) produce the movie. So by checking out the trailer we can see this movie has no expense spared.
So how do we create a fighting game into a movie? The premise of the movie goes: “A washed-up mixed martial arts fighter named Cole Young is unaware of his hidden lineage or why he is being hunted down by Sub-Zero of the Lin-Kuei clan of assassins. Concerned for the safety of his family, he seeks out a clique of fighters that were chosen to defend Earthrealm in a high-stakes battle against the forces of Outworld”
Mortal Kombat is scheduled to be released in cinemas and on the HBO Max streaming service on April 16, 2021.
So “get over here” and let us know what you think about the trailer before we “finish him”
I’ve been collecting and shooting even though I was on my hiatus from Instagram.
I just got caught up with family, career and life in general. A couple of months off turned into a couple of years but I started getting a little more time on my hands and decided to get back out there.
A lot has changed and the quality of content out there is so good these days.
The 90s Chicago Bulls…That was my childhood right there. In the context of everything, sports isn’t really that important, but growing up, they really inspired me.
It was a concept I’d wanted to try for a while. But I knew from the start that it had to be paying tribute to MJ AND Scottie somehow. The only issue was that I didn’t have the Uptempos and waited for the retro last year. After that, everything came together pretty quickly, I started getting more into editing last year, though I’m very much still a novice.”
