Marvel Studios’ Loki Official Trailer #2

0

Marvel Studios is really ramping up their influx of TV/Movie viewing in 2021 with Disney Plus. One of the most anticapted series gets another look with Tom Hiddleston returning as Loki the god of mischef doing what he does best.

Here is the first trailer which gave us the first look at the upcoming series back in December 2020

Now, we get to see the 2nd trailer in the series showing more footage as to what Loki gets up too. The series will follow on from the events of what happened in Avengers: Endgame where Loki steals the Tesseract causing the flow of time to be broken. Loki is brought to the mysterious Time Variance Authority (TVA) organisation and teams up with Mobius M. Mobius (played by Owen Wilson) to fix the several timelines he has broken.

Loki is set to premiere on Disney Plus on June 11 2021 and will consist of 6 episodes. It is a tie in to Phase Four of the MCU. We are aware a 2nd season of Loki is in early development as well.

Another movie hit by the COVID-19 shutdown was the upcoming sequel to the 1996 classic Space Jam. Now that the world is slowly getting back on track, the hollywood blockbusters are finally locking in release dates. Most new movies are doing a dual setup where they will hit cinemas in certain parts of the world the same day they are put on streaming services. The sequel to Space Jam is no different.

Marvel Studios’ Black Widow Official Trailer #2

0

It feels like forever since we got the first look at 24th film in the MCU “Black Widow” back in December 2019. Since COVID-19 popped up in the world, the movie has been pushed back quite a few times due to the uncertainly around when the cinemas will re-open in the USA.

A couple of weeks, we finally got a confirmation as to what was happening with Black Widow and its release. Fans have been calling for it to be put onto Disney Plus under the Premier Access fee which has seen Mulan & Raya And The Last Dragon go down a similar path. And now, it appears the fans have won!

Black Widow will release on Disney Plus and in cinemas worldwide on the 9th July 2021. With Disney Plus, you will need to pay extra to watch it. There will be a $30 rental fee charge under their Premier Access. With the announcement of the date, we got to see another trailer for the movie and our first good look at the villain in the movie “Taskmaster”

The movie is set after Captain America: Civil War, where Nastasha Romanoff is on the run, finds herself alone and forced to confront a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Romanoff must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger.

Wahl Street – Mark Wahlberg’s Documentary Series First Look

0

As Sneakerheads, we all know about Mark Wahlberg’s obsession with Jordan’s and his collaborations he has done in the past with the Air Jordan brand. But what some people dont know, is how much Mark actual works!

HBO and Mark have team up and are doing a 6-part documentary series called Wahl Street (hands down, one of the best titles EVER!). Wahl Street offers an intimate look at his family life. Because at the end of the day, when its all said and done, setting aside the blockbuster movies, Wahlburger restaurant franchise, F45 gym empire (yes he own a minority stake in the Australian gym juggeranut!), activewear lines and many other businesses, he just wants to be a good father and husband.

Along the way, you’ll learn about his successes and failures and glean powerful business and life lessons while also getting to know the cast of colourful characters that make up Wahlberg’s real-life entourage. And yes we know Wahlberg was the very inspiration behind HBO’s hit series “Entourage” which Mark produced.

To give you an idea of how Wahlberg operates on a daily basis, here is a run down of his typical day! It makes you think, how can someone fit so much into 1 day and do it daily?

  • 2:30 AM – Wake up
  • 2:45 AM – Prayer time
  • 3:15 AM – Breakfast
  • 3:40 – 5:15 AM – Workout
  • 5:30 AM – Post-workout meal
  • 6:00 AM – Shower
  • 7:30 AM – Golf
  • 8:00 AM – Snack
  • 9:30 AM – Cryo-chamber recovery
  • 10:30 AM – Snack
  • 11:00 AM – Family time/meetings/work calls
  • 1:00 PM – Lunch
  • 2:00 PM – Meetings/work calls
  • 3:00 PM – Pick up kids from school
  • 3:30 PM – Snack
  • 4:00 PM – Workout #2
  • 5:00 PM – Shower
  • 5:30 PM – Dinner/family time
  • 7:30 PM – Bedtime

Wahl Street is set to start streaming on HBO Max on April 15th 2021. We can expect it on the Australian version of the platform Binge around the same time. Check out the trailer and let us know what you think.

The Suicide Squad Official Trailer

0

OK DC Fans, time to get excited about another movie getting ready to drop this year. Now, i know what you’re all thinking? Is The Suicide Squad a reboot or a sequel to the 2016 film? To answer that question, no its not a reboot. It’s still working off the same continuity that was established in Suicide Squad but it’s “rebooting” the franchise to hopefully better set it up for success.

Peter Safran a DCEU producer said that Gunn’s The Suicide Squad is a “total reboot” and “not really a sequel” to the 2016 film. This plays into the upcoming film’s title as it’s not “Suicide Squad 2” or anything that references the initial film’s existence. It seems like DC is trying its best to distance itself from David Ayer’s underwhelming film.

So what is The Suicide Squad actually about? Well the official synopsis from Warner Bros. is as follows:

Welcome to hell — a.k.a. Belle Reve, the prison with the highest mortality rate in the US of A. Where the worst Super-Villains are kept and where they will do anything to get out—even join the super-secret, super-shady Task Force X. Today’s do-or-die assignment? Assemble a collection of cons, including Bloodsport, Peacemaker, Captain Boomerang, Ratcatcher 2, Savant, King Shark, Blackguard, Javelin and everyone’s favorite psycho, Harley Quinn. Then arm them heavily and drop them (literally) on the remote, enemy-infused island of Corto Maltese.

So what do we think of the trailer? Will James Gunn’s version redeem the eyes of DC fans? Or will this be simply a DC Comics version of Guardian’s of the Galaxy? Let us know what you think

The Suicide Squad is due to hit cinemas on August 6th 2021 along with streaming on HBO Max in the US on the same day

Performance Review: Puma Clyde All-Pro

0

It’s no secret anymore that there has been a resurgence in the Puma Basketball line. Spear headed by Puma Basketball head designer Jeremy Sallee, hoopers and sneakerheads alike have taken a huge notice. While the fusion of modern-heritage designs have been fire, we’ve always felt that there could’ve been more room for improvement in the cushioning department. Well our prayers have been answered. Literally, designed and inspired from a performance standpoint, it is a no surprise, that the Puma Clyde All-Pro worn by the likes of LaMelo Ball and Kyle Kuzma, has taken the title of 2020’s best basketball performance sneaker.

FIT: 5/5

MATRYXEVO technology compromises the uppers of the Puma Clyde-All Pro. It is a compound mixture of a durable, lightweight and breathable mesh that is made in France. It’s made of the same materials used in bullet-proof kevlar. We found it to be form fitting out of the box, snug and supportive where you need it the most and stretch-free in high impact zones. Strands of the material are also used as the speed lace loops of the kicks. Also, a hidden TPU heel-counter added containment to our foot. We experienced no dead spaces and foot slippages while testing the Puma Clyde All-Pro. They fit true to size and we recommend going half a size up for wide footers.

CUSHIONING: 5/5

This is where Puma Basketball took a huge leap forward in terms of performance. Somehow the newly tweaked PROFOAM+ is light years ahead of its predecessors in terms of overall feedback and responsiveness. On top that, an additional layer of cushioning has been added on the heel via a boost like PEBAX PUCK. The ride has been simply amazing. From heel to toe transitions to high impact landings, the cushioning set-up does its job magnificently. Simply one of the best set-ups if not the best set-up in the modern era basketball sneaker market.

TRACTION: 5/5

We couldn’t find much regarding the tech behind the sticky rubber outsole. But we can safely say that we haven’t felt traction like this since the Kobe 9. The parquet floor like design of the front end of the sole coupled with the aggressive multi-directional pattern on the heel a very assertive bite and grip on any surface. A propulsion foot plate in the forefoot propels the foot forward in a seamless stride. We also, found the inconspicuous outriggers to be very supportive during quick lateral side to side movements.

LOOKS: 5/5

Minimalistically functional. Designed from a performance perspective, the Puma Clyde All-Pro has done away with all the unnecessary gimmicks found in today’s basketball kicks. Instead we find a no frills, all business court performer that gives nods to the Puma Clyde heritage. However, that doesn’t mean it falls shorts in the looks department. In fact, the minimalist look is able to hold on to a mix of colorful palettes and makes it a dope choice for lifestyle fits.

OVERALL: 5/5

Third time’s the charm!!! The Puma Clyde All-Pro is the 3rd Clyde model from Puma Basketball. The Puma Clyde All-Pro is the second recipient of our perfect 5/5 score. The first one was one the Way of Wade 8 (click here for the review). A lot of hoopers have compared it to the Kobe 9. We will however go one step further and say it is a much, much better version of the Kobe 9. For a performance sneaker that was released in 2020, the Puma Clyde All-Pro is still in our opinion the best pound-for-pound ball kicks going into 2021. The Puma Clyde All-Pro retails at 190 AUD and we reckon that is a great value for the specs and performance it provides. Keep and eye out though because we have seen them go on sale at 150 AUD. We will definitely be stocking our rotation with these amazing performance kicks.

Mark Kross feat. Suraeh ‘FALLIN’

0

Mark Kross released his new single ‘Fallin feat. Suraeh’ on the 12th of February 2021. The single is the third release for Mark Kross.

Based in Sydney, Australia, Mark Kross and Suraeh teamed up to create ‘Fallin’.

Who is Mark Kross?
Mark Kross (previously known as DJ Toyboy) began his journey as a DJ in 2001 at the age of 15. He was mentored by his brother, DJ CK1, who taught him the ropes, which soon lead to him a spot as a regular DJ at the most popular under 18’s event at the time, “Kinky U18’s”. This lead to him creating a large database of fans at a very young age.

As he came of age, Mark Kross gained his first club appearance at “Goodbar”, followed by appearances through various other Sydney nightclubs, and it wasn’t until 2010 when Mark Kross was recognised for his talent, and made his move to become a headlining act in the clubs.

In 2019, Mark Kross decided to take on Music Production and begin releasing his own music. In 2020, Mark Kross released his Debut Single “Mi Amor” on all streaming platforms.

Today Mark Kross is a regular name in the nightclub circuit, known to be one of the strongest R&B/Hip Hop talents in Sydney. This name has lead him to regular national shows Australia wide. Among his versatility and impeccable technique being a key factor in his success, Mark Kross is renown for creative live mashups of song during his sets, which sets
the crowds off every time.
Who is Suraeh?
Born on the 19th of September 2000, to two beautiful hearing impaired parents, came the child of I; Suraeh. Growing up in the Sydney suburb of Guildford, he always loved music. Music was in his blood and have always had a dream that one day he’d be up on the big stage.

Throughout his life Suraeh was brought up on Jazz and Rock and Roll, where he fell in love with the soothing voice of Dean Martin and the spectacular nature of Elvis. From there, he branched off into other genres such as Hip Hop, Pop, RnB, Dubstep, Disco and the 80’s where he loved artists from Michael Jackson to the Sugar-hill Gang to Eminem.

It was in high school where Suraeh first picked up a pad and a pen to now just releasing my new EP “Feelings” in May 2020. Suraeh wanted to show the world that the modern lyricist can still reach the hearts of the audience. Making some cry, some happy, some dance and go wild, and some contemplate. He wanted to change the world one song at a time! He wanted to be a voice for those that can’t! Most of all Suraeh wanted to show the world who he is and what he can bring to the table!

‘Fallin’ is a RnB/Pop song that sets a sad, but chill tone. The song is about previous heartbreak and the inability to let your ex go. We’ve all had our hearts broken, so Suraeh wrote about the moments we go through after a break up.

‘Fallin’ is out now on all streaming platforms.
